Once a new Bontrager stem design looks good on the computer, and after running a battery of finite element analyses, we build and test prototypes. Sometimes they work. Sometimes we start over. This takes a lot longer than we would like, but it’s the right way to build bike parts. You might never notice all the detail and effort built into each Bontrager stem, but we’re pretty confident you’d notice if it weren’t there.
Same high-quality attention to detail as the Race Lite stem, but with a 26.0mm bar clamp size. A truly excellent value for the money. One-piece construction, multi-stage surface treatment, and of course, lots of Bontrager durability. Available in both road and mountain lengths and diameters.
