EASTON EC70 features a unique brake-inset design that unites the fork and brake calipers for a streamlined and efficient appearance. The fork also offers superior strength as well as an aero advantage. The EC70’s carbon steerer tube cuts weight and enhances overall strength.

Design Objective
Create a lightweight road fork with advanced styling and superior durability.

Material Choice
We chose carbon because of it’s extremely high strength-to-weigh ratio and vibration damping characteristics.

The Technical Challenge
To use superior materials and craftsmanship while keeping an affordable price. What should you look for? Balance. A fork with a blend of stiffness, strength and ride quality is best. Easton’s Carbon TaperWall Technology (CT2) allows us to make a lighter fork that
offers excellent ride characteristics.

The Starting Line
We studied our competition and bench marked their performance. Using customdesigned test machines, we measured the stiffness, strength and fatigue life of competitive components.

The Finish Line
We succeeded in developing a balanced fork. We created the right combination of strength, stiffness and ride quality.

Rider Benefits
• Light weight
• A good balance of strength and comfort
• Advanced styling
