XTRs new disc brake provides the benefits of disc brakes at a weight that will be embraced by the cross-country racing world. The opposed dual piston caliper is a forged one-piece "mono-body" design that eliminates the need for caliper assembly bolts. In addition to reduced weight, the caliper is more rigid. The rotor mounts to the hub quickly through a spline and lock ring mechanism. This feature is sure to be popular with racers when packing and traveling with their bikes and with mechanics that wont be dealing with stripped-out or broken mounting bolts. Additional user-friendly features include mineral oil hydraulic media, cuttable hoses and slotted panhandle shims for fast set-up. Brake pad options include, a maximum power, fade resistant, longer wear metallic compound or a best modulation, low noise, smooth feeling resin compound. New lockring rotor mount reduces weight and makes for easy rotor changes. Rotor works with 2003 XTRŽ disc hubs only. Available in International Standard (specify FT or RR) and 74mm post mount (for use with ManitouŽ forks). Only includes caliper and rotor. Requires new XTR STI levers
