Most fork manufacturers now only offer 1-1/8 inch forks. The Chris King Devolution headset allows for the use of an 1-1/8 inch fork with an 1-1/4 inch frame without requiring any adaptors or shims. It is also available as a conversion kit for existing 1-1/4 inch headsets.
We also make a Devolution headset that allows you to use a 1" fork in an 1-1/8" frame. This addresses the newer trend of using 1-1/8" headtubes on road bikes. You can still use your old 1" fork on your shiny new frame
